The Islamic Educational Center of North Hudson
The Islamic Educational Center of North Hudson was established on August 28, 1992, to represent and serve the interests of the Muslim community in the area, to educate Muslims and Non-Muslims about Islam, and to promote friendly relations and mutual understanding between them.
Besides regular Muslim prayers and holiday events, the Center hosts many social and educational activities for children and adults. NHIEC is also highly active in community outreach work.

Organization: NHIEC is a not-for-profit organization managed by an elected Board of Trustees and an Executive Committee.

Location: The Center is located in Union City, NJ, housed in a landmark building of 20,000 square feet spanning four floors. It is situated just a few minutes away from the Lincoln Tunnel, providing easy access to New York City.
Vision & Goals
NHIEC seeks to raise public awareness of the correct understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, and empower American Muslims. The Center aspires to be a bridge between peoples and cultures to foster religious harmony, values of tolerance, kindness, and compassion, and to build alliances that support mutual understanding.

To me this place is much more a place to pray. Over the last more than 20 years I have grown to appreciate the presence of North Hudson Islamic Educational Center on different levels. And what I can say is that It’s not good or bad. It’s just real!
I love NHIEC. I learned so much at this masjid. The community is wonderful and supportive. The religious leaders are extremely caring and actively engage with the community members. In addition, there are always activities and opportunities to be active in dawah and serving humanity. May Allah bless this community.
The best Muslim community. Involve in the everyday community live in west New York and union city. I love every and each one in the masjid….and pleased to see lot of young men and women inside the complex ….. proud to be part of North Hudson Muslim community …. keep the good job
Calm and peaceful. Helpful and kind staff scholars Sheikhs and Imams. Fridays from 12:00am to 3:00pm Juma’a (Friday) prayers are packed and lively. Sometimes there are so many people they pray on the steps.
Do not be afraid to come visit for knowledge and/or peace.
I was born and raised in this Masjid. Much of the little knowledge I have was attained through the scholars and leaders of this Masjid. May Allah reward them all.
This place is the place you really want to go!!! The people the ambiance and the Imams are very kind generous and helpful. Also Ramadan is the best time to go as they have Taraweeh and in the last 10 nights Qiyaam UL Layl led by Sheikh Hassan Saleh, followed by Suhoor which is something you will love to have and regret it if you miss it.
One of the best mosques in Hudson county. You can always count on going there to do prayer. The people there are always willing to help teach Islam also. Everyone there is so kind and polite. It is just hard to find parking sometimes so come early so you don’t be late for the prayer!
